To the Japanese Olympic Committee,

As a group of front line doctors developing effective protocols for COVID-19, we write to you today regarding the dilemma that you are facing as a result of recent spikes in Covid-19 infection and its potential impact on the summer Olympic games. We want to offer you real hope that the games of the XXXII Olympiad can go on safely. This hope is well-supported by strong, reproducible medical evidence and peer-reviewed scientific data.
